I should say that my discussion was about S2's possible popularity. You misunderstood it.I am sorry but I never said s2 is popular than s1.....you just added some more reasons to it...I said it could have been popular if they hadn't messed up and continued further at that time. But now I don't want to J.C staff to do hayate since the quality lost and a fear of messing up again just like you said....
I have no problem with movie and s3.....s3 story is made by Hata..s4 it is something totally from manga.if it is from manga then why didn't follow the storyline instead making 10 different stories for 10 different characters.I will not say it is bad but why Hata is so reluctant to make story from the mangaline.Since the failure of SS2, Hata could have started the sequence with mangalobe..But he didn't.This is something only Hata can answer.I am dissapointed then and also now because of what happened to the Anime.I never seen an anime where the story is skipped like that(maybe there are one or two). If there is a season 5 then I prefer it to be the real season 3, And if it is another jumping then I have nothing to say anymore.
Hmm.... following the manga totally doesn't make the story boring just because we know already...like cuties 10 episodes were from manga....but fans quite liked it.But S2 is not the best choice(It could have been if they hadn't made mistakes) I agree with you there..what I think that there was no mix in the story unlike SS1... they focused half of the series only on hinagiku I have no complaint there since they didn't make the story but adapted from the manga. If they undertook hina arc then hina arc should have been a part of season 2 not the overwhelming part of the sesaon, it is genre of acton, comedy, romance and in SS2 there was missing the "action" they could have taken this season to golden week arc...then sesaon 2 would definitely be my best choice.Thoguh seeing the last athena scene of the last episode of S2, I think they were preparing for golden week arc.
