Ell (エル, Eru^?) also known as Shii (しい, Shī^?) in the Japanese version, is a female android created by Shiori Makimura. Ell was eventually going to be scrapped, until she was given to Fumi to assist her on becoming a lifesaver.

Appearance

Ell has red eyes and light blue hair, which she wears tied up in pigtails, with black ribbons. She is always seen wearing a black choker around her neck. Initially, she was first seen wearing a black strapless leotard and a number five sticker on her left arm, but later discards the leotard in favor of a black dress and the sticker is also removed.

Trivia

• The name "Ell" was made up by the unofficial English translation to make an English joke to match the Japanese one in chapter 479. In the Japanese version, her name is "Shii", taken from the term "yarashii," which was unofficially translated as "lewd." She is always addressed as "Shii" or "Shii-chan" in the Japanese text.
