Differences in the Manga

Chapter 125

• As Ayumu brushes her teeth, she realizes that it is white day, after having looked at the calendar. This scene shows Ayumu wearing a red ribbon tie and holding a cup with her left hand. In the manga, Ayumu wasn't wearing a ribbon tie and was holding her cup with her right hand.
• After having finished brushing her teeth, Ayumu takes a sip from her cup and then accidently swallows the water while gurgling. This is not present in the manga.
• At the Sanzenin Mansion, Hayate asks Nagi if there was something she would want that would make her happy. In this scene, Nagi is shown to be playing a fighting video game. In the manga, she was playing a Princess Maker themed game.
  • Additionally, Nagi's outfit was altered. In this episode, Nagi wore a black long sleeved turtle neck shirt and a pink skirt. In the manga, she wore a short long sleeved cheongsam and black pants.
• Answering his question, Nagi tells Hayate that receiving Amazon gift vouchers through the mail would make her happy, but would get frustrated upon learning that they'd be expired once she tried using them. This is absent in this episode.
• At Hakuo Academy, Hinagiku receives a large ovation from the students, after having given a speech at a school assembly. This is absent in this episode.
• Hinagiku then gives Miki a return gift for the chocolates she had received from her on Valentines day. In this scene, Hinagiku is shown giving them to her in a hallway. In the manga, Hinagiku gives them to her after the school assembly, while handling student council work with Aika and Chiharu.
• As Hinagiku calls Ayumu's cell phone, Hinagiku receives a message informing her that Ayumu's cell phone was completely broken and if she wanted to know why then she'd have to watch episode 15. In the manga, the message tells her that Ayumu had accidentally dropped the phone while she was being attacked by a group of assassins.

Chapter 126

• As Maria returns to the Sanzenin Mansion, Nagi asks her for a snack, to which Maria then offers to share some of the cookies that Hayate gave her earlier. This is not present in the manga.
• At the park, Hayate uses a pay phone to call Maria to ask her for the cookies she had taken earlier, but is informed that she had already eaten them. This is absent in this episode.
• The logo on Hinagiku's jogging outfit was altered. In this episode the logo read "Punta". In the manga, it was "Punya".
• After having asked Hayate if he gets paid for his butler services, Hinagiku suggests that he sell any of his possessions to scrape enough money to buy Ayumu a gift but is told by Hayate that he doesn't have anything to sell and notes that when he started working for Nagi he didn't even have any spare clothes. This is absent in this episode.
• At Café Donguri, Hinagiku introduces Hayate to her friend Hokuto Kaga. In the manga, Hokuto is shown wearing prayer beads on his right arm. In this episode, he is seen without them.
• As Hayate begins to work on his gift for Ayumu, Hayate is shown to be wearing an apron. In the manga, he was shown without one.
  • Additionally, the clock in Café Donguri is shown to be a standard wall clock that reads 3:58 P.M. In the manga, it was a cuckoo clock that read 4:00 P.M.
• In the Kitchen, Hayate tells Hokuto that he would do his best not to disturb the store, to which Hokuto tells him that not many customers come at this time of day. This is not present in the manga.
• As Hayate begins to work on Ayumu's cookies, he overhears Hokuto being threatened by three thugs who ask for spaghetti napolitana and then saves Hokuto from being beaten by the thugs by giving them their spaghetti napolitana. This is not present in this episode.
• At the Sanzenin Mansion, Nagi questions Maria on why she received cookies from Hayate. In this scene Nagi is shown to be wearing a black long sleeved turtle neck shirt and a pink skirt. In the manga, Nagi wore a long sleeved button up shirt and a skirt.

Chapter 127

• As Maria returns from Café Donguri, Nagi asks for her to make her dinner. In this scene, Nagi is shown to be wearing a black long sleeved turtle neck shirt and a pink skirt. In the manga, Nagi wore a sleeveless button up dress with a black long sleeved shirt underneath it.
• Before Hayate gives Hinagiku a white day gift, Hayate's line about how he had missed her at the café is absent in this episode.
• Afterwards, Hayate shows his gratitude to Hinagiku with a small bag of cookies and then takes her by the hand and places the bag in the palm of her hand. This is not shown in the manga.

• At the Sanzenin Mansion, Hayate asks Nagi if there was something she would like that would make her happy, to which she tells him that she'd like a drill like the ones the robots use. This is a reference to the drills used by the Gunmen Gurren Lagann, in the series Gurren Lagann.
• While out on her jog, the world "Punta" is seen on Hinagiku's sweatshirt. This is a parody of the sportswear company Puma.
• After Maria returns to the Sanzenin Mansion, Nagi is seen reading a magazine entitled "IdolmaiSTER". This is a parody of the THE iDOLM@STER series.
