Differences in the Manga

Chapter 87
  • During her flashback of when she first met Hayate, Ayumu is shown to be riding a yellow bicycle. In the manga, she rode a red bicycle.
  • After having woken up, Ayumu's hair is shown to be slightly messy. In the manga, her hair was straight.
    • Additionally, Ayumu's room was slightly altered for this scene. In the manga, Ayumu had three stuffed animals on her bed, a guitar next to a desk and a hardwood floor underneath a large throw rug. In this episode, the three stuffed animals and guitar are absent and her floor had a green carpet.
  • While fixing her hair in the bathroom, Ayumu is shown to be wearing a large purple sweater and mauve colored sweatpants. In the manga, she was wearing star patterned pajamas.
  • After thinking that buying clothes for Hinagiku's birthday gift was too expensive, Hayate contemplates on the idea of giving her jewellery, a stuffed animal and anime goods instead. This is not present in this episode.
  • After having ran into Ayumu, she is shown to be carrying a bag on her right shoulder. In the manga, she was carrying it on her left shoulder.
    • Additionally, the bracelet on Ayumu's right arm is absent in this episode.
  • As Miki points out to Izumi that Hayate and Ayumu where a foolish couple out on a date, Miki then says that they where staring at each other and creating their own wonderland. In the manga, she calls Hayate and Ayumu a couple that reeks like they're from a love comedy from Hidenori Hara's manga.
    • Additionally, as she says this, Izumi is seen standing by Miki's right side. In the manga she was standing by her left side.
  • At the Sanzenin Mansion, as Maria asks Nagi what she would like, Nagi is shown to be wearing a navy blue turtle neck shirt and pink skirt. In the manga, she wore a ruffled sleeveless shirt over a black long sleeve shirt.
Chapter 88
  • After having overheard Miki say that Hinagiku was practically a boy inside, Hinagiku asks her who's practically a boy inside, to which Miki lies to her by telling her that she was talking about a hinky duck. In the manga, Miki tells her that they where talking about a girl called Hina from a manga.
  • As Hayate offered Ayumu soft serve ice cream, the ice cream vendor is shown to be female. In the manga, the vendor was male.
  • While searching for a gift for Hinagiku, Hayate tells Ayumu that he was trying to also come up with an idea on what to give her in response for the Valentines day chocolate. This causes an awkward moment between the two of them before he accidently drops his ice cream on the ground. This is not present in the manga.
Chapter 89
  • Upon returning to the Sanzenin Mansion, Hayate is seen carrying two bags of groceries. In the manga, he only had one bag.
  • Later in the night, Nagi tries on the hairpin Hayate had bought her earlier in the day. This is not present in the manga.
