Sore ga Seiyuu! Episode 11, title name as Self Care (自己管理 Jiko Kanri?) aired on September 15th 2015.
Synopsis
While waiting for both Ichigo and Rin, who have been busy after the Earphones Unit debuted in the recording room, Futaba gets a news from Aoi Konno about program regular work in the anime Western Detective. She's really happy that she will work with Ryoko Shiraishi who taking of this anime. She decides to practice her role which nearly end up dying from forgetting to breath.
At Sound Team Don Juan Studio, Futaba meets Ryoko Shiraishi. Futaba thinks that she's really pretty. Futaba learns that Ryoko can do both boy and girl sound very smoothly. And She also learns that Ryoko also has some of the boy personality too. While recording dry run, because Futaba focuses on the work too much, it's make her cough. After that everyone body about Futaba's throat and give her advises about it. Ryoko advises her to take as many cough drop sweets in mouth, put a face mask on and go to sleep. She also tells Futaba to take care about herself. Futaba has a problem about her role while taking a bath, making her stay in bathroom for too long, which later make her has a cold and fever.
After Futaba's recover and done the recording, She walking back home with Ryoko. Ryoko asks her about Earphones Unit, which reminds her when she was in another voice actress unit. Futaba thinks that unlike both Ichigo and Rin, she needs to work hard so she doesn't drag them down with her. Ryoko now realises the reason why Futaba was overdoing work. She tells Futaba that she once has vocal cord nodules. She was focusing too much on her work and make it worse, which make her need to get surgery on her throat. It was uneasy but she decided to take surgery in the end, because she wants to be a voice actress for the rest of her life. Her speech makes Futaba realizes something she nearly forget that she also want to be a voice actress for the rest of her life, too. She just need to go at her own peace. Suddenly, Ichigo and Rin call her to tell about the solo concert that Kaibara-san decides to held for their unit.
Next day, Futaba, Ichigo, and Rin finds out that their concert tickets sales are 12 from the 500 available seats. They decides to promote and advertise more about the concert. Kaibara-san also tells them that since they cunrently have 3 songs, which not enough to held a 2 hours concert. They decides to to covers songs. But, because of the budget, three of them needs to do the choreography by themselves. After promoting in many ways, only 52 tickets were sold. So Kaibara-san decides to make the unit promote their concert at Anisong Autumn Concert. First, Futaba, Ichigo, and Rin thinks that they will have they time of stage in Anisong Autumn Concert. But, the truth is they only have to hand out flyers in front of the Concert Halls. Still they ends up filling their concert hall with 200 people in the end. After knowing the news about the seat, Ichigo accidently hurt her leg while practice. What will happend about their concert?
Trivia
- Before reading through the script for Western Detective, Futaba remarks on how Ryoko Shiraishi would be in it and remarks on how on also played as the main character in the butler anime she loved. During this scene, Hayate Ayasaki from Hayate no Gotoku! briefly appears behind her.
- The anime Western Detective does the recording at Sound Team Don Juan Studio, which refer to the real Sound Team Don Juan Studio.
- Ryoko Shiraishi guest stars as herself in this episode and she also voices Hayate Ayasaki, one of the main characters in the Hayate no Gotoku! Anime.
- She's also best known for voicing Aoi Nogami from the Zettai Karen Children series, Kaede Nagase from the Negima! Magister Negi Magi & Negima!? series, Akari Hinomoto & Mervamon & Opossummon from the Digimon Xros Wars series and Kazue Takanashi from the Working!! series.
